A couple of times I accidentally clicked on an ad because it was positioned too closely to another button on the screen, which was an annoying experience.Ĭonducting a competitor analysis of existing apps allowed us define some key focus areas and features for Decidr Tiger that would help us stand out from the crowd and jumpstart design. Some of the apps had ads that would pop-up unexpectedly and that caused a lot of frustration when I was trying to complete an action. You can see below that there’s often too many colors being used and it’s difficult to know what’s most important on the screen. The colors used are typically bright and cheerful, but almost in a way that’s too gimmicky and doesn’t feel relatable to all age groups.
